The Black Galaxies of Ghana will face the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon or the Menas of Niger in the quarter-final of the 2022 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Madagascar’s 3-0 lead against Sudan means the debutants will likely win win Group C with six points while Ghana will finish second.

As it stands, the Berea will face the Os Mambas of Mozambique in the quarter-final while whichever team wins between Cameroon and Niger tops Group E, and confronts Ghana who are sure to be second in Group C.

Cameroon currently lead Group E with three points from one game and need at least a draw to reach the quarter-final in consecutive editions of the tournament.

The 8:00PM kick off fixture at the Miloud Hadefi stadium in Oran, Algeria will determine which of the nations progress to the last eight from the tricky group from which Congo were eliminated last week. They could only get a point from two games in which they even failed to score.

The quarter-final game will be played at the Olympic stadium in Oran at 8:00PM local time on January 28.

Details soon……
