Cédric Bikoue leaves Real Valladolid for a new challenge in Spain

He will join the small circle of Cameroon internationals plying their trade in the Spanish top-flight championship

Cameroonian forward Iván Cédric Bikoue Embolo has completed a switch from Real Valladolid to Las Palmas on a two-year contract with an option for an additional year.

Las Palmas announced the capture of the striker this Monday, marking an end to weeks of negotiation between the striker’s entourage and his new club.

Bikoue Embolo scored twice in 12 Secunda B matches last season though struggling through injuries in the best part of the season but showed enough to convince his new employers.

The U-23 international who help Real Valladolid earn promotion to the La Liga last season will finally get his La Liga BBVA chance via Las Palmas.

Bikoue is one of the first catch for Unión Deportiva Las Palmas this window, explaining the interest of coach García Pimienta in having the 21-year-old Gran Canaria Stadium.

When he eventually makes his debut for the club, Bikoue will join the likes of Wilfred Kaptoum and Thimothée Atouba on the shortlist of Cameroonians that played for Los Amarillos.
