South-west representatives, Legend Football academy, will go head-to-head with North West side, Ita Mbong, for the eight finals of the Cameroon Women’s football league.
Both sides, who are regulars in this competition, will be meeting in this phase, for the very first time, with just one to continue in the race for an elite ticket.
Legend Football Academy reached this point after defeating Royal Falcons of Limbe 8:0 on aggregate and seeing off Kumba Lakers 6:1.
These south-west champions were one game away from promotion last season, but unfortunately fell in the hands of AS fortuna of Mfou, Losing by 1 goal to 12.
The objective this year is to feature in Cameroons women’s top flight, the Guiness super league.
ITA MBONG on her part finished top, in a group with teams like Vision sports, Abakwa girls, Kumbo Strikers ladies. A one – nil win over west regional outfit, Bansoa FC was enough to seal an eight finals spot. The game will be played this Sunday July 30,2023 in Melong.
