Cameroonian sprint star Herverge Tonjock Kole Etame continued her excellent 2026 campaign by winning the women’s 100 metres at the Poitiers International Meeting in France.

The reigning African champion crossed the line in a season’s best time of 11.20 seconds to claim victory, further underlining the form that has made her one of Africa’s leading sprinters this year.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season and recently secured continental glory after capturing the women’s 100m title at the African Athletics Championships. A multiple national champion, she has established herself as one of Cameroon’s standout athletes and continues to enhance her reputation on the international stage.

Kole Etame has steadily risen through the ranks of African athletics and has become a key figure for Cameroon in both individual and relay events. Her personal best over the distance remains 11.13 seconds, achieved in 2025.

Saturday’s triumph in Poitiers is another indication that the Cameroonian is building momentum ahead of the major international competitions later this season.

With victory in France adding to her growing list of achievements, Kole Etame’s consistency continues to strengthen Cameroon’s presence on the international sprint scene.
