Cameroonian midfielder Ako Alexis has added silverware to his growing career after helping Al-Ahly Wad Madani win the 2026 Sudan Cup. The Sudanese side secured the trophy with a commanding 3-1 victory over Hilal Al-Fasher in the final.
The former Stade Renard of Melong player joined Al-Ahly Wad Madani at the start of the 2025/26 season and has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in Sudan. His performances have seen him become an important figure in the team.
Across 12 appearances this season, Alexis has contributed three goals and five assists, playing a key role in the club’s successful run to the cup title.
The triumph represents the first major trophy of his career since moving abroad and further highlights the impact Cameroonian players continue to make across the African continent.
With the Sudan Cup now added to his résumé, Ako Alexis will be hoping to build on his successful first season and continue his rise with Al-Ahly Wad Madani.
