Cameroon to host 2023 African Women’s Volleyball Championship

The city of Yaoundé will as from August 6 to 18 , 2023 serve as the epicenter for the African Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship.

The information was officially made public, on Friday, April 14,by the FA’s boss Bello Bourdanne.

Cameroon and Egypt had bid to host the prestigious African women’s volleyball jamboree.But the Cameroonian side outsmarted,their Egyptian counter parts, to gain possession of the hosting right, as confirmed by the Confederation of African Volleyball Association.

The 21 st edition of the volleyball competition,will take place at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.

The recent development comes up, few days after the appointment a new technical staff at the helm of the various selections.

Cameroon are the recent three times African Volleyball Champions. While the Kenyans are nine times champions.

In order to put up a scintillating performance in the volleyball fiesta. The Cameroonian women’s team are expected to debut preparations in the nearest future.
