Newly-appointed coach of Cameroon, Marc Brys, his deputies and other auxiliary personnel of the senior men’s national team have arrived at the country’s ministry of Sports and Physical education ahead of their contract signing ceremony this evening.

According to our sources at the nation’s capital city – Yaoundé, coach Brys, recently-appointed Coordinator Benjamin Didier Banlock, deputies, plus medical doctor William Ngachu amongst others reached the ministry before 1pm today for the ceremony to commence at 4pm local time.

Coach Brys who is replacing Rigobert Song enjoyed a highly mediatized arrival in Cameroon on Sunday evening is expected to sign a four-year contract with specific objectives.

Minister Narcisse Mouelle has invited all related services for the event, including president Samuel Eto’o Fils of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) who is expected to boycott the event.

Though, FECAFOOT’s president Samuel Eto’o Fils has expressed his disgust about the appointments and even the desire to appoint another coaching crew, Sports minister, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi has invited him to the August event.

Eto’o has even gone as far as announcing that his executive committee has given him the mandate to appoint another coach by 4pm this Tuesday.

In the heart of the battle between Eto’o and the government of Cameroon, Brys and his staff that includes returning Alioum Boukar are expected to get to work immediately ahead of their first outings against Angola and Cape Verde Island in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
