In a thrilling culmination of the fourth edition of the women’s football league, FC Ebolowa etched their name in history by clinching their maiden title.

From October 21, 2023, to May 25, 2024, the league showcased 132 fiercely contested matches, with a total of 335 goals lighting up stadiums nationwide.

FC Ebolowa’s remarkable achievement was anchored in their rock-solid defense, conceding a mere 10 goals throughout the season. Their unbeaten streak of 22 games underscored their resilience and tactical prowess.

Guided by Coach Kpoumie Mvu Oudou, the team’s tight defensive line paid dividends, complemented by an electrifying frontline led by Flora Kameni, who notched an impressive 26 goals.

Kameni’s standout moment came in the final Guinessico clash against AS Fortuna, where she became the sole player to score a quadruple.

Meanwhile, the runner-up position belonged to Lekie Football Girls, who dazzled with an astounding 62 goals across 22 outings. Adrienne Mekuko and Brenda Tabe emerged as the team’s top scorers, netting 14 and 13 goals, respectively. Their attacking prowess kept fans on the edge of their seats.

As the dust settled, Authentic Ladies, based in Douala, secured third place after a commanding 4-0 victory over As Awa. However, the season wasn’t without casualties—Eding Sports and AS Fortuna faced relegation, while newcomers Dja Sports and ITA MBONG FC managed to maintain their elite status, promising fresh battles in the seasons to come.
