Cameroon Cup 8th finals: Relegated Eding battles Cotonsport, Hilltop meets Stade Bertoua, other pairings

Draws for the eight finals of the ongoing Cup of Cameroon, has been conducted and pairings done for the challenge to continue as 16 teams chase the title Coton Sport of Garoua looks to defend and retain in the days ahead.

The defending Champions have been paired against relegated Eding Sport de la Lekie.

Meanwhile there will be a fierce battle and a Douala derby between two time champions Dynamo of Douala and Avion Academy who reached the semi finals last year.

Top tier newcomers and Elite two champions, Victoria United have been made to go against CFF les Champions of Garoua, who progressed to this stage of the competition by declaration after UMS were suspended for failing to show up in their 16th final clash last week.

Previous winners, Canon Sportive of Yaoundé and Fovu club of Baham will face each other in this stage. Canon is in search of a sixth Cup title and will oppose a side who eliminated Astre of Douala 3-0 to reach this stage.

Representatives of the North West region, PWD and regional league side Hilltop strikers FC, have been paired against AS Fap of Yaoundé and Stade FC of Bertoua respectively. The Abakwa boys are 2021 winners of the Cameroon Cup.

Colombe of the Dja and Lobo will lock horns with Littoral side, Union of Douala. While Stade Renard of Melong will play against Stade FC of Bandjoun.

The date for the kickoff of the eight final round is yet to be known but will definitely be programmed in the days ahead.
