The draw for the CAF Champions League Qualifiers for the COSAFA zone was finally conducted in Johannesburg on Thursday morning.
Defending champions, Green Buffaloes play in a tricky Group A alongside Double Action Ladies ( Botswana), Lesotho Defense Force ( Lesotho), and newcomers Ntopwa FC ( Malawi )
The inaugural winners Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are in Group B with Olympic de Moroni ( Comoros ), Costa do Sol ( Mozambique), and Young Buffaloes (Eswatini )
Last year, Mamelodi Sundowns were dethroned by Zambia giants Green Buffaloes in penalty shootouts.
The top two sides in each pool prevail through to the Semi-finals.
Seven of All teams participating in this year’s edition have at least been here, except debutants Ntopwa.
The zonal qualifiers return in Durban, scheduled to take place between August 30-8 September.
The ultimate winner at the end secures a ticket to represent at the CAF Champions League finals in Cote D’Ivoire.
