Vipers SC campaign to an end on Friday evening after 2#0 defeat to Horoya AC in Bamako ,Mali.

The game played at Stade du 26 Mars presented the perfect opportunity for the venoms to pick their ever win but all went in vein.

The red and white of Matam took an early lead in the 11th minute through Barry after debutant goalkeeper Jack Komakech failed to hold the ball firmly in his hands.

Vipers could have levelled the matters ,but Lumala shot hit the post in the penalty box.

The first stanza ended 1#0 in favor of the hosts going into the break with advantage.

In second half, custodian Komakech put up a Masterclass against Horoya denying them goal scoring opportunities.

The venoms still looked blunt in front of the goal, which has been the club’s dilemma in their debut season.

Sory Traore scored late in added minutes to double the lead for Horoya after a beautiful interplay to slip off the venoms defense.

A perfect victory for Horoya to seal the campaign on 7 points after the final group stages match despite finishing third.

Debutants from Uganda ,Vipers finished bottom of Group C with two points gathered.

Raja Casablanca and Simba progressed through to the knock out phase.
