Portugal international Bruno Fernandes has hailed his Manchester United teammate Bryan Mbeumo for his courage and confidence on the ball since joining the Red Devils.
Speaking after a recent training session, the United captain admitted he sometimes gets frustrated with the Cameroonian forward — but only because of his immense quality.
“He’s not afraid to take the ball,” Fernandes said. “Sometimes I get angry with him in training because he takes one touch too many. I tell him: ‘Bryan, you don’t need that. You can take one touch and shoot — you’re perfectly capable of it. You did it against us when you were at Brentford!’”
Since completing his move from Brentford, Mbeumo has quickly settled at Old Trafford, scoring four goals and providing two assists in nine appearances across all competitions.
The Cameroon international has already won Manchester United’s Player of the Month award in his very first month at the club — a testament to his instant impact and consistency.
He recently inspired United to a thrilling 2-1 victory over eternal rivals Liverpool, scoring one and assisting another in a performance that further cemented his growing status among the Premier League’s most dangerous wide forwards.
His direct style, relentless work ethic, and chemistry with Bruno Fernandes have made him a favourite among teammates and fans alike, while his influence continues to grow both at club and international level.
