Tanzania premier league side Simba SC have completed the signing of prolific Cameroonian defender Che Malone for a reported fee of 70 million CFA.
The player’s entourage led by Tamanji Lawrence confirmed the switch this Saturday after two weeks of negotiations with the Tanzanian giants.
In the days ahead, the move will be made official after signature of the player’s contract.
The defender’s two-year stay at Cotonsport of Garoua was all conquering as he masterminded two league titles wins and a cup of Cameroon win.
Malone, 24, also earned call ups to Cameroon’s intermediate and senior national teams during his time at Cotonsport.
The former Continental FA of Buea defender joins the Tanzanian giants who finished second in the league this 2022/23 football season.
The club that counts 22 Tanzanian Premier League titles is ranked among the top ten clubs in Africa, by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) in the May/April rankings.
Malone becomes the second Cameroonian to join the club after Willy Esombe Onana Leandre.
