Cameroon’s international friendly against the Teranga Lions of Senegal this Monday in Lens will be played as planned.

Parties involved met in a meeting this Friday and opted to go ahead with the game despite the pairing of both nations in Group C of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw event last night at the ‘Parcs de Expositions’ in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire.

The decision to go ahead with the game thus guarantees the 15th meeting of the Teranga and Indomitable Lions whose previous encounters have always produced unforgettable entertainment.

Monday’s 6:30pm kick-off at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis In Lens will be an opportunity for Rigobert Song’s Cameroon team to react to the 0-1 defeat against Russia in another friendly played last Thursday evening in Moscow.

Senegal guided by former international, Aliou Cisse will be hoping to get their sixth win against Cameroon that beat them on penalties at the 2002 and 2017 tournaments to win the trophy and reach the semi-final respectively.

Previous meetings between the Lions have five wins apiece while the other games ended on a parity score.
