  • The 2014 interpools vice champions have been relegated to the Nkambe Divisional championship

Bang Bullets FC of Nkambe have been relegated to the Nkambe Divisional championship while their president Bang Johnson gets will pay a fine of Five millions FCFA and not participate in any football related activity till June 2029.

The sanctions were published this Wednesday evening after the Homologation and Disciplinary committee (HDC) of the Northwest Regional League of the Cameroon Football federation (FECAFOOT) examined events of their return-leg playoff game last weekend against Options Sports Academy of Bamenda.

In a dramatic turn of events players and staff of Bang Bullets FC opted against continuation of the game and left the GS Nibung stadium after the match officials led by Muh Divine awarded a penalty to their opponents in the 12th minute of additional time despite only signaling seven minutes via the fourth official.

Fans of the Nkambe club invaded the pitch and attempted to lynch the match officials after he pointed to the spot for an Options Sports Academy penalty. Referee Muh Divine’s decision was contested by the Bang Bullets FC faction still protecting a 1-0 aggregate advantage from the first-leg.

The penalty call was one of the many strange decisions from the match officials which eventually pushed the fans into the pitch to vent their anger especially on Mr Muh.

Though the pitch was eventually cleared players and officials of Bang Bullets FC refused to continue the game, thus leaving officials with the option of ending it without playing the penalty.

The premature finish of the game leaves the Homologation and Disciplinary committee of the Northwest Regional League of FECAFOOT led by Francis Justice Ndip Oven with the obligation of deciding the way forward in the contest per article 84.3 of the FECAFOOT disciplinary code.

Going by that, Bang Bullets have been relegated to the Nkambe Divisional championship while it’s president is suspended from football activities for five years from the date of this decision persuant of article 29B of the disciplinary code. He has been charged to pay a fine of five millions FCFA while Options Sports Academy wins the game by penalty, 3-0.

The interested parties have been given 24 hours to appeal the ruling if they are not satisfied with it.

The final will be between Rainbow FC, 3-2 conquerors of Rockland FC on post-match penalties after a goalless draw from the two-leg matches and Options Sports Academy.

The  winner between regular winners, Rainbow FC and Options will pride as champions and have the rights to represent the Northwest region at the ten-club national interpools next month.
