Biten Clancy travels to France to complete Strasbourg switch

French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg FC, have completed the signing of Biten Clancy Valere from productive Cameroonian club EFBC of Douala.

The right-back has signed a three-year deal to switch from the Douala outfit to top-flight football in France, thus ending his five-year stay at the club in the economic capital city of Cameroon.

Biten completed medical in Cameroon, but flew to France on Wednesday night ahead of official this weekend.

The 18-year-old is considered one of the best defenders of his generation given his know-how and his energy level.

He is expected to first settle for a place in the Strasbourg reserves on arrival, but has the qualities to develop into a first team player.

In the past 12 months EFBC have transferred Carlos Baleba to Lille, Regis Mughe to Marseille, Jean Pierre Kamga and Aboubakar Dalbai to Dijon before Biten’s switch.
