Bamboutos FC of Mbouda emerged 3-0 winners against 10-man Union Sportive of Douala this Saturday afternoon in a one-way traffic MTN Elite One championship game at the Mbouda Municipal stadium.

Ghanaian forward Samson Kwasi, Mbollo scored for the hosts while Somb scored an own goal and center-back Pondi Mbai was sent off in the dramatic first-half that decided the game.

Bamboutos on a run of two games without a scored the opener through Mbollo after just six minutes of early dominance.

Union’s problems compounded when Pondi saw red for his troubles only 14 minutes into the game.

It then moved from bad to worse when Somb put the ball past Boniface Arno Zoa in goal for Union to make it 2-0 after 17 minutes.

Ghanian forward Kwasi for the third for the Mangwa Boys just before the interval and the visitors looked completely inspired for the ocassion.

Bamboutos’ Ghanian coach ensured his charges protect the advantage till the interval.

Though there was a handful of chances in the second segment, either sides failed to make the most of them as the game finished 3-0 for Bamboutos FC of Mbouda.

The latest victory takes Bamboutos’ points tally to 19 this campaign and leaves them on the third spot on the log in Pool A. They are five points behind leaders Dynamo of Douala and a point adrift of second-seeded Canon Yaounde that edged Gazelle FA 1-0 in Yaoundé.
