African and Moroccan champions, Association Sportive des Forces Armees Royals (ASFAR FC) thrashed Union Sidi Slimane Berkane (USSB) 8-0 to win their tenth Coupe du Trone title at the Pere Gego Stadium, Casablanca, on Tuesday.
Massoudyopened the scoring for ASFAR FC in the ninth minute before Douha Ahmanou doubled the lead in the 18th minute.
In the additional minutes of the second half, Ghizlane Chebbak made it 3-0 while Nouhaila Petrol increased the lead to four before the halftime break.
After the interval, Fátima Tagnaout scored two goals in the 47th and 53rd minutes respectively to further increase the lead to six.
Another brace from Hanane Ait El Hajj in the 86th and 88th minutes respectively ended the rout.
The title was ASFAR FC’s third title of 2023 as the team prepares for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League with the aim of becoming the first club to retain the trophy.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies (South Africa) and ASFAR FC won the first two editions of the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2021 and 2022.
