Ampem Darkoa Ladies won its second title of the season with a 3-1 win over Police Ladies in the final of the Ghana Women’s Cup on Saturday.
The league champions had to come from behind to earn its second title of the season.
Mary Berko opened the scoring for Police Ladies in the 62nd minute after a goalless first half.
Ophelia Amponsah equalised for Ampem Darkoa in the 79th minute.
Mary Amponsah scored two goals in the 107th and 108th minutes respectively to seal the win for Ampem Darkoa.
After winning the Ghana Women’s Premier League ahead of Hassacas Ladies, the team completed a double.
It will now shift focus on the WAFU-B Zonal Qualifiers for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League holding in Nigeria.
The winner of the Zonal Qualifiers will qualify for the third edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast later this year.
