Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have completed the acquisition of rugged Cameroonian defender Alfred Mbita Nkoma from rivals Dragon of Yaoundé.
The club reached an agreement with the player to join on the hills of an excellent season with the Yaoundé outfit.
The left-back and left-sided midfielder enjoyed a great season on the books of Dragon – featuring in 21 games in all competitions, including making six starts in the promotion playoffs.
Mbita, a Cameroon international at youth category that featured for Cameroon’s U-17 team alongside Carlos Baleba and Mughe Regis François has signed a two-year contract with ISOHSA and resumed training with the rest of the first team.
The TAD Sport Academy product joins Sawai Kelly, Elwood Bantar and Ngai Eba Emile amongst others.
This move marks an end to a period of speculation and uncertainty for the player who helped Bonadikombo FC of Mile to a runners up position during the last edition of the Limbe City Council Interquarters, during which he was scouted by coach Mbock Maput of ISOHSA and many other coaches representing the interest of other clubs.
Everything being equal, the club could announce his arrival one of these days.
ISOHSA are preparing for their second season in the MTN Elite Two championship having raised the bar very high in their debut campaign with a top of the table finish in the relegation playoffs and reached the semi-final of the cup of Cameroon.
The 2023 national interpools champions will participate in the 17 clubs MTN Elite Two championship expected to begin in late October or early November.
