- Belibi’s first challenge will be a tough fixture against league leaders Colombe Sportive de Dja and Lobo
Alexandre Belibi has been named the head coach of Dynamo de Douala, stepping into the role previously held on an interim basis by Jean Pierre Muth.
Muth had taken charge following the dismissal of Inna Ngassa. Belibi arrives with a strong track record, having managed prominent clubs such as Bamboutos de Mbouda, Avion Academy, and Léopard Sportive de Douala.
Dynamo de Douala’s recent performances have been far from ideal. Their last league victory came on January 5, 2025, with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Yong Sport Academy.
Since then, the team has endured a dismal run of form, managing only three draws and suffering eight defeats in their last 11 matches. During this period, they scored just six goals while conceding 14, a record that has left them languishing in 15th place with a mere 14 points.
Belibi’s appointment comes at a critical juncture, and his first test will be a formidable one. Dynamo’s next fixture is against league leaders Colombe Sportive de Dja and Lobo, a side that has lost only once in 17 games this season.
