Initially slated for August 14, the 21st edition of the African Women’s Volleyball Championship has been rescheduled for September 2023.
The information was officially made public, via the website of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation on August 6.
It should be recall that, the raison d’être of the African women’s Volleyball Jamboree, is due to the unfolding of the Men’s African Volleyball Championship slated for Egypt, expected to run from August 30- 12 September.
The postponement will serve as, an ideal means for the volleyball lionesses to fine-tune tactics, so as to ticket a place for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Despite, the numerous challenges faced by the Volleyball Federation,her President Julien Serge Abouem has left no stone unturn, in a bid to ensure that the competition be of a high standard as compared to the previous editions.
