As expected, Baba Matia Marie Celine has clinched gold for Cameroon at the ongoing Judo tournament in Niamey, Niger.
The exciting Jude prospect achieved the feat in the 52KG category on Thursday after outshining her competitors in a classic display of quality.
The latest win makes it back-to-back success for the lady who also won Gold in the same category during the previous edition of the competition in Abidjan last year.
Matia has been Cameroon’s brightest performer in recent events and is looked up to as a reference even by her peers.
The event which brings together tenths of competitors and countries competing in different categories is part of the International Judo Federation series.
Matia has collected tenths of medals in junior competitions so far as she continues to strive towards what has been a great start to her promising career.
