Cape Verde will be part of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire after their 3#1 victory against Burkina Faso.

Former Manchester United midfielder Bebe opened the scoring for Cape Verde in the 7th minute of the match.

Burkina Faso equalized just before half time when Issoufou Dayo pounced on a lose ball to level scores.

In the second half, Cape Verde completely dominated the match as further goals from Joao Paulo and Cle ensured that Cape Verde grabbed all three points and progress to January’s finals in the Ivory Coast with a game to spare.

The victory takes Cape Verde to the second position in Group B with 10 points, same number of points with Burkina Faso who are first.

In the other Group B fixture, Togo defeated Eswatini 2#0 with goals from Kevin Denkey and Euloge Fessou.

Togo is third in the group with 5 points while Eswatini is last with just 2 points.
