Agbor Ernest Ako could become the next Astres of Douala lead trainer in the days ahead if all works as the club wish.
The experienced technician who has been out of work since leaving Cotonsport of Garoua in April has held a number of meetings with officials of the Brazilians of Bepanda as they continue efforts to secure his return to the city he previously served rivals Union Sportive of Douala.
The club is keen on getting Agbor on board as replacement for Nicolas Ntonye Ntonye who is expected to be reinstated to the Technical Director role he occupied before last season.
Astres endured a mediocre 2022/23 season. The club finished out of the playoffs places and were eliminated from the cup of Cameroon by Fovu in the 16 final.
The arrival of the former manager of Kohi of Maroua, Cotonsport, UMS, LIFCA among others could be a statement move this window.
