USFA will represent Burkina Faso at the West Africa Football Union Zone B (WAFU-B) Zonal Qualifier for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League after retaining the Burkina Faso Women’s League title.

The team thrashed Tigers 4-0 to claim the title thanks to Djiguemde Florentine’s brace.

Ouatarra Carole and Maimouna Human also find the back of the net to lift the club to another league title.

USFA joined the list of women’s league Champions across the continent in preparation for the Zonal Qualifiers of the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League.

Disciples (Madagascar), AFAK Relizane (Algeria), Wadi Degla (Egypt), New Generation (Zanzibar), Kampala Queens (Uganda), Atletico d’Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Mogbwemo Queens (Sierra Leone), and BUSA Queens (Burundi) are the other confirmed league Champions.

USFA has been representing Burkina Faso at the last two editions of WAFU-B Zonal Qualifiers, reaching the semi-final of the maiden edition in 2021 where it lost 2-0 to Champions, Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana.

Last year, it couldn’t make it out of Group B as it finished third with three points behind Bayelsa Queens (Nigeria) and Ampem Darkoa (Ghana) as well as three points ahead of Athleta FC.
