The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has officially announced the registration fees, club licensing costs and new minimum salary requirements for professional clubs ahead of the 2026/2027 football season.
In Circular No. 058/26/FECAFOOT/SG/DC/CL/CCNI, signed by Secretary General Isaac Noé Mandong on August 4, 2026, the federation outlined the financial obligations for clubs competing in the MTN Elite One, MTN Elite Two and Guinness Super League.
Under the new regulations, clubs in the MTN Elite One will pay FCFA 1,000,000 as competition registration fees, while MTN Elite Two clubs will be required to pay FCFA 500,000. Clubs competing in the Guinness Super League will pay FCFA 250,000.
FECAFOOT also confirmed that the National Club Licence for MTN Elite One teams will cost FCFA 100,000.
Beyond registration fees, the federation has introduced revised minimum salary thresholds aimed at improving the welfare of coaches and players across the professional leagues.
According to the circular:
- MTN Elite One head coaches must earn a minimum monthly salary of FCFA 250,000.
- MTN Elite Two head coaches must receive at least FCFA 150,000 per month.
- MTN Elite One players are guaranteed a minimum monthly salary of FCFA 200,000.
- MTN Elite Two players must earn no less than FCFA 75,000.
- Players in the Guinness Super League will also have a minimum monthly salary of FCFA 75,000.
FECAFOOT stressed that all clubs must strictly comply with these provisions, with Secretary General Isaac Noé Mandong calling for “scrupulous respect” of the directives.
The circular comes as clubs intensify preparations for the 2026/27 campaign, with the federation seeking to strengthen professionalism, improve working conditions for players and coaches, and ensure clubs meet licensing and financial requirements before the start of the new season.
