The South West Regional League under the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has officially unveiled the pairings for the first phase preliminary rounds of the 2026 Cup of Cameroon.

Draws were conducted on Friday, May 8, 2026, setting the stage for eight knockout fixtures involving amateur clubs from across the region.

The competition will determine the three amateur clubs that will represent the South West Region at the national phase of this season’s Cup of Cameroon, joining Elite clubs Victoria United and Kumba City FC, who already have automatic qualification by virtue of their professional status.

According to the official release signed by Secretary General a.i Forbuvie Farbien Tumetoh, all first phase matches will be played on a knockout basis across different venues in the region on Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 14, 2026.

The first phase fixtures are:

* Legend FA vs Buea City FC
* Kumba Lakers FC vs Cinyodev FA
* Fako United FC vs Mt. Cameroon FC
* Best Stars AC vs Waspito FF
* Talented FA vs Kamdjo SA
* Aljazeera SA vs Buea United FC
* Summer Sports AC vs Elecsport FSA
* Epie FA vs Options Sports AC

FECAFOOT has also reminded participating teams that all players and club officials must hold valid FECAFOOT licenses before taking part in the competition.

With only three qualification spots available for amateur clubs, competition is expected to be fierce as teams chase the opportunity to represent the South West Region alongside Victoria United and Kumba City FC at the national stage.

The Cup of Cameroon remains one of the country’s biggest football competitions, often giving grassroots teams a platform to test themselves against some of the nation’s top clubs.
