  • This was following his last unsuccessful game against West Ham
  • Ruud Van Nistelrooy takes over from Erik Ten hag as head Coach

The journey between Andre Onana and Erik Ten Hag has come to a standstill. The link between the goalkeeper and manager ended abruptly at Manchester United following Ten Hag’s dismissal as head coach.

Ten Hag’s sack letter came after a series of unsuccessful games, culminating in a 2-1 defeat to West Ham. His dismissal was announced just 116 days after his contract renewal.

The 54-year-old exits the club after two and a half years, leaving behind two trophies, the 2023 Carabao Cup and 2024 FA Cup.

Unfortunately, this season has been marred by disappointment, with the club currently sitting 14th in the table with seven points.

In the sack letter,Manchester United expressed gratitude: “We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.”

Andre Onana and his teammates welcome Ruud Van Nistelrooy as the temporary coach. The former Manchester United striker returns to the club, having previously served as an assistant.

Van Nistelrooy’s career saw him score 150 goals, ranking him 11th on the club’s all-time list.
