Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Nationwide side, Royaltoms Queens will face Chosen Generation Angels in the final of the maiden Bamidele Abiodun’s Cup on Saturday at Gateway Stadium, Sagamu, Ogun State.
The two teams finished top of the table at the end of four round-robin games to set up a final clash on Saturday.
Chosen Generation Angels top the table with 8 points after four games as the Wasimi-based side earned two wins against 2022 Ogun State FA Cup Champions, Castmog FC (2-1) and NWFL Nationwide side, Ijebu United Queens (1-0).
The team drew its last two group games with Royaltoms Queens (1-1) and Female Machine (1-1).
Royaltoms Queens of Sango Ota on its part finished second with six points after a win and three draws.
The Olajide Royal tutored side defeated Female Machine 3-1 and Drew its remaining three games with Ijebu United Queens (1-1), Chosen Generation Angels (1-1), and Castmog FC (0-0).
Castmog FC and Female Machine will square up in the third-place match on Saturday morning before the final match.
The two teams with five and three points respectively finished in the third and fourth positions at the end of the round-robin stage of the tournament.
Royaltoms Queens’ Ola Olaronke and Female Machine’s Pam Keneng both with three goals will battle it out for the top goal scorer prize on the final day.
The pre-season tournament is organised by Female Football Club Owners, Ogun State Chapter in honour of Ogun State First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun who is expected to grace the final games on Saturday.
