The Mangwa Boys again today settled for a virgin draw against visitors from Garoua which means the remain the only unbeaten team in MTN Elite one.
With Gazelle traveling all the way from Garoua, a journey of over 37hours to Mbouda in the West region, analysts would have thought fatigue will play down on them.
Fortunately for them their experience, resilience and energy levels kept them up to the task to stop the Mangwa boys from beating them.
Bamboutos is on a run of 4 consecutive draws and a win today at home would have been a day of glory as grabbing all 3points would have been special. But Gazelle denied them that fate tying them down to a draw a home.
Bamboutos are leaders of their pool with 19points and they are not only defending their spot on the league table but also their unbeaten run.
One may begin to think their midfield has slowed down as chance creation and feeding of strikers has reduced and now the goals to spur victory are lacking. Nonetheless, the defense is there to their rescue and the strikers must also step up and be more clinical if they want to keep their title hopes alive. Not losing only doesn’t win the league but scoring goals and winning is a better assurance for a good run for the title.
We now look forward to matchday 11 where the Mangwa Boys will step in looking forward to her back to winning ways and also continue their unbeaten streak.
