Newly-promoted elite one side, Dynamo FC of Douala, has reached an agreement with PWD of Bamenda to secure the services of Christian Ateba Leonel, who was the club’s highest goal scorer this 2022/23 football season and Muluh Mustapha.
The 24-year old Leonel leaves the Abakwa boys, where he spent one season and scored nine goals plus three assists in 25 games.
He signed a two-year deal with the Northwest based outfit but his commitment last season has seduced Dynamo to end his stay at PWD prematurely as both counts agree the transfer deal for the striker.
PWD maintained their stay in the top-flight championship next season is thanks to this prolific striker who helped save the team from sinking. Leonel scored the first goal in the crucial 3-2 win game against Renaissance of Ngomou, to escape relegation.
The former Cotonsport of Garoua’s player becomes one of Coach Yves Clement Arroga’s valuable signing for the coming football season, as the gaffer seeks to bring back glory days to Bon na Njob.
Leonel and Mustapha like Thomas Etta Bawak, are the players to leave PWD of Bamenda to Dynamo of Douala after Bawak joined the club weeks ago.
Dynamo will benefit from the expertise of prolific players secured for next season following the convincing signings done so far; the like of Junior Kemajou from Bamboutos, Goalkeeper Anye Derick, experienced Thomas Etta Bawak, Leonel amongst others.
