Programmed to debut on Sunday, January 7,2023. The Under-17 Central African zonal body, UNIFFAC tournament slated to hold in Limbe , has been postponed for January 12,2023.
The information was recently made public, by the Limbe-based online sports media Sportglitz.net.
The U17 football showpiece had to be postponed, due to the medical screening of some of the teams, expected to participate in the tournament.
Cameroon are the current title holders, after their brilliant performance in the 2019 U17 AFCON in Tanzania.
A total number of four teams from the Cemac sub-region are expected in Cameroon, for the competition. They include ; Host Cameroon, Chad, DR Congo and Congo Brazzaville.
Cognisance of the non-organization of the competition in 2021,this will be the first edition of the tournament with 12 participating nations.
Each of the six zones received two places in the final tournament, with just the UNIFFAC let to provide her representative. The tournament’s finals has been slated for April 8th, 2023 in Algeria.
