The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia have been beaten 0#1 by Australia in their second Group D match at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The defeat has left the faith of the African representative hanging on the scale as they might be eliminated by the end of the match between France and Denmark.

A first-half header from Australia’s Mitchell Duke was all the Socceroos needed to grab all three points at the Al Wakrah Stadium.

Tunisia failed to impress in the first half. Their lackluster performance gave Australia the lead in the 23rd minute of the match.

Before halftime, Youssef Msakni failed to level scores with his shot from inside the box that went wide.

In the second half, Tunisia’s Wahbi Khazri saw his effort saved by Australian goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

Tunisia takes on defending champions France in their last group match at the Al Rayyan Stadium while Australia will lock horns with Denmark.
