2022 Club World Cup: FIFA unveils date for draw in Morocco

FIFA has officially made public January, 13 , 2023 to be the ideal date, for the holding of the Club World Cup draw, at the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Sale, near the Moroccan city of Rabat.

The customary seven team competition is expected to run from February 1 to 11,2023 . The tournament will witnessed the participation of the following teams; Real Madrid, the European Champion, Flamengo, the South American champion, Seattle Sounders, the first American team to win the CONCACAF Champions League, Egypt’s Al Ahly, New Zealand’s Auckland City ,Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, and Wydad Athletic Club from Morocco.

The Club World Cup soccer Jamboree will be held in Morocco, after the country’s scintillating and historic semi-finals performance, in the just ended Qatari FIFA men’s national football World Cup.

One of the final seven team editions for the continental champions, will take place in 2025,when an enlarged month-long competition will start.

The Club World Cup was first staged in Morocco in 2013 and 2014.The most recent competition, which Chelsea won, was held in the United Arab Emirates in February.
