Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s Napoli have secured their first Serie A title since Diego Maradona led them to the pinnacle of Italian Football in 1990.

Victor Osimhen’s goal helped the Naples side hold Udinese to a 1-1 draw which earned the crucial point which puts them mathematically out of reach for SS Lazio who were hoping for another foul score from Luciano Sphaletti’s men.

Sandi Lovrić opened scores for Udinese from inside the penalty area on 13 minutes after kick-off as Napoli struggled to be on top of their opponent.

Though Osimhen threatened with a couple of first-half chances usually through headers, it remained 1-0 in favour of Udinese.

Osimhen leveled matters in the 57th minute and Napoli held on to earn a point to seal the title win for the deserved Serie A winners who led throughout the season.

Osimhen and Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored most of the goals for the Serie for the eventual champions who only lost three league games all season.

Zambo’s four assists and two goals in 31 games for Napoli contributed massively to the celebrations that have caused traffic across Naples this night.
