A player of Victoria United Idris Youssouf, has confirmed that the limbe based club actually do match fixing and is certain to qualify for the Elite one championship.

Victoria United alias opopo has been on the headlines following Sunday’s game at the Bafang Municipal stadium.

Unisport was leading 1-0 when referee Boyomo Biguemi awarded a late penalty to Victoria United.

Supporters of Unisport got angry and attacked the match officials. This Monday, the transitional council running the Cameroon professional football league announced that the Bafang Municipal stadium has been suspended till further notice.

But now, new revelations have surfaced following countless accusations on Victoria United for match fixing.

Goalkeeper Idris Youssouf has featured for Victoria United this season

Goalkeeper Idris Youssouf of Victoria United in a voice note, stated that “If president Donald Ngamenie (Unisport) says that he does not buy matches, it is his problem. We (Victoria United) we buy matches and will qualify for the elite one,” Idris said in a voice note in a Unisport WhatsApp group.

“If Donald Ngamenie is not giving money to referees, he should stay there, we give because we have money,” Idris added.

The shot stopper spent last season with Unisport of Bafang, before completing his move to newly promoted Victoria United.

President Nkwain Valentine of Opopo has now issued a note dismissing Idris from his club.

In the note, the club states;

“While being a worker with Victoria United football club, he was still attached to his former employee Unisport through their WhatsApp forum, thereby transmitting information to our direct opponent.”

“It is in this light that we are forwarding this letter through the federation to the litigation commission to call him for questioning so that he can provide prove of his allegations meted against the president and the team Victoria United football club for being involved in match fixing through the audio voice note he sent to the Unisport player’s Whatsapp forum,” opopo added.
