A lone strike from Evans Ogbonda condemned Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia to yet another away defeat in the ongoing 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season as Bendel Insurance ran away with a 1-0 win at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The goal which came in the 6th minute of the match was all that separated the two sides in the Match Day 15 tie and secured all three points for the Benin Arsenal.
Despite wholesale changes from the two coaches on the sideline — Coach Erasmus Onuh of Abia Warriors and Coach Monday Odigie, the match failed to produce more goals.
