Cameroon’s Lekie Filles FC of Yaoundé will battle hosts TP Mazembe Ladies for a place to represent the Union of Central African Football Federation (UNIFFAC) this Friday at the Stade de Martyrs in Kinshasa.

The crunch clash of the top two clubs so far in the competition so far will be the major attraction in Kinshasa this Friday as the cream of women’s football in the sub region showcase their knowledge of the game.

Mazembe Ladies are in poll position as they have won their two games in the competition, scoring 11 goals without conceding via 7-0 and 4-0 wins against CSM Diable Noirs of Congo and Equatorial Guinea’s Atletico Malabo respectively.

Though Coach Boumehdi’s TP Mazembe are without blemish so far, it could go all wrong on Friday if Lekie find their groove and improve their finishing from what they displayed in the goalless draw against Diable Noirs.

A win for Lekie Filles will automatically make them champions of the region with seven points while though Mazembe could be seeking maximum points, a draw will be enough to make the Female Ravens champions of the zone for the second time, the last being in 2022.

Though the second game of the day is major attraction, there is a small matter of formality between Atletico Malabo and CSM Diablo Noirs to determine which club finishes third in the four-team competition though the Congolese could as well finish as high as second if Lekie Filles lose by a huge margin.

This year’s competition has been a major improvement in so many ways, thus making it a good foundation for the years to come.
