The draw for the Total Energies U-20 AFCON championship was held on Friday evening in Cairo ,Egypt and the 2021 runners up and debutants Uganda were pitted in Group B .
The hippos making their second appearance at the tournament were placed alongside Central African Republic ,Congo and South Sudan.
The CECAFA giants earlier in November ,beat South Sudan in zonal Finals to defend the title ,and will hope to captilise on their last edition performance after reaching on Finals in 2021 where they lost 2-0 to four time winners Ghana.
The 2023 U-20 AFCON championship which is the 17th edition will take place next year ,2023 in Egypt and is scheduled to take place between 19th February to 11th March.
