Best Stars Academy of Limbe will face 2009 Cameroon champions Tiko United FC in the opening game of the 2022/23 SouthWest Regional championship season.
The fixture is one of two picked to set the ball rolling but the other pitting Bright Star to Legend Academy will happen in Kumba.
Best Stars and Tiko United have been drawn in pool B, of the South West Regional Championship and will kick the first ball of the season on March 4 in Limbe.
Both sides were pitted against each other last season but the Limbe outfit finished ahead of the Samba Boys.
The opener between last year’s finalists and the legendary Tiko United leaves many excited about the start of the country’s most animated amateur football championship.
Tiko United will compete with Cinyodev FA and Continental FA, all drawn in Pool B as well, while sharing a similar ambition. The likes of ATESS, South West United and recently promoted Dream Soccer complete the log.
Excitement is building following the pairings of the 29 clubs in the Region this season as they promise mouthwatering fixtures in the mix.

The top two teams from each pool will qualify for the regional playoffs, which will be played on a knockout basis, until one team are crowned champions to represent the region, at the national Interpools.
