  • Soh Simplis Magloire has been handed the responsibility of transmitting his local football success to the national team
  • He was appointed Intermediate Lions head coach as replacement of Alioum Seidou
  • The former Foncha Street FC, Universal Soccer Academy and Santos SA are part of the 11 clubs he has coached in an over 15-year-old career and never did his name feature in a cash collection story

Simplis Magloire, the head coach of the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon has called on the football fraternity to guard against people trying to use his name for extortion of cash from people interested in call ups to the national.

The trainer took to social media on Sunday evening to tell the public not to listen to persons who approach them requesting cash in exchange for places in the team.

“Don’t get scammed. Places are not sold, it is only by merit. Many will come claiming to know me, but be wise. I don’t collect money to select players,” Soh Simplice wrote on his official Facebook handle.

Coach Simplis’ team just ended a two weeks camp during which he called up 30 players from various clubs based on their performances last season.

Coach Soh is grounded about local football and doesn’t need a brigde to get to local players even if the national championships are off.

He is expected to invite another badge of players for preparations ahead of their second round CHAN 2025 qualifier tie against Central Africa Republic.

The intermediate lions will take on the Central African Republic in the CHAN Qualifiers, in December.
