Che Sampson, a former Indomitable Lions’ player, was laid to rest over the weekend in Buea. The former Fovu of Baham and PWD of Bamenda midfielder died on 27th of June, 2024 after losing battle with Diabetes.

Hundreds of mourners, including friends and family members, gathered to give their last respects to the late midfielder. Gaucher, as he was popularly known, was an Indomitable Lions player from Eto’o’s generation.

His funeral ceremony was filled with friends, family members, fans, and former teammates showcasing their love and respect as he was escorted to the land beyond.

The late 52-year-old was laid to rest on Saturday, 17th August, 2024, with a funeral mass held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Buea Bokwaongo, where friends and well-wishers gathered to bid farewell to the fallen hero.

“His humility, strength, and smile were gifts from God to us all. He brought light into our lives,” says the presiding priest during the homily.

Che’s journey to the land beyond leaves behind a wife and children. His good heart, smile, leadership, and humble demeanor will forever be remembered.
