The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon shall confront their Serbian counterparts on Monday, November 28,2022 , in black bans as a special homage to our patriots who passed away in the landslide at the Damas Neighborhood in Yaounde.

The unfortunate incident had unfolded on Sunday, November 27,2022 where some 14 persons attending a funeral lost their lives.

Dozens of people were attending a funeral on a soccer pitch, at the base of a twenty- metre high soil embankment, which collapse on top of them.

To make an etat-de-lieu of the scene was the Centre Region’s first person, Governor Naseri Paul Bea and his collaborators who supervised the carrying of the corpses to the mortuary of the central hospital, while the search for other people corpses continue.

Many Cameroonians are saddened by the current ordeal that has led to the death of many, and believes Monday’s victory against Serbia will act as a consolation towards the afflicted nation. Captain Vincent Aboubakar and mates were trashed in their first game, by Switzerland on a 1-0 score, via a sensational goal from the Swiss forward of Cameroonian descent Breel Embolo.
