  • Volcan of Noun, Sable of Batie, Federal FC of Noun and Stade FC of Bandjoun are in the last four of the West Regional championship to be contested this Thursday
  • Volcan of Noun won the championship last year and are hoping to do so again
  • The winner of the West Regional championship of FECAFOOT will represent the region at the national interpools

Federal FC of Noun will face Sable of Batie while Stade FC of Bandjoun clashes with Volcan in the semi-finals of the West Regional championship of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) this Thursday, June 20 at the Bamendzi stadium in Baffoussam.

The mouthwatering fixture scheduled to begin at 1pm have four teams competing for two spots in the final and eventually the lone ticket to represent the region at this season’s national interpools.

Sable who have been flying without perching and have the backing of MMA star Francis Ngannou will be in a tight contest against a Federal FC of Noun side that is hoping to be regional champions again and earn the right to represent the region.

Sable that eliminated Star Sport of Bafoussam on post-match penalties in the previous round will have their thousands of fans around with expectations relatively higher this time around.

In the other fixture scheduled at 3pm, Stade FC of Bandjoun have a tough job against last year Champions – Volcan who finished fourth at the 2023 national interpools and missed promotion to Elite Two.

Volcan have been quiet consistent this season, making bookmakers to tip them amongst favourites to go all the way though no football game is won off the pitch.
