Greek Super League side Panserraikos have completed and announced the signing of 28-year-old Cameroon international Wilfred Jaures Kaptoum.
The club took to their social media handles this Saturday to announce they had secured the services of the the former La Masia student on a one-year-contract with an option for an additional year.
Kaptoum walks through the doors of the club from AEK Larnaca which he joined just above a year ago.
The combative midfielder who was typed to have a greater career than what it has been so far has another chance to revive his career and put behind him all his struggles of the past.
The Greek Club will be Kaptoum’s sixth so far after stops at UD Almeria, Las Palmas, Almeria, New England Revolution followed the promising Barcelona era.
The forgotten Cameroon international will add to Harold Dersty Moukoudi and a few other Cameroonians on the books of Greek Super League clubs.
Consistency at this level can help him walk his way back into the national team picture though he has not made any call up since 2020.
Panserraikos FC will join 19 other clubs to compete in the prestigious Greek football championship next season.
