- Ngange Wilson Jnr scored his first brace in the professional championship
- The fantastic performances of Simo Gedeon, Check Tiku and Abraham Ntankeu amongst others also highlighted the victory
- ISOHSA moves to the top of Pool A with 17 points to their credit so far
Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe completed a season double with a comfortable 3-0 win against TKC of Yaoundé on Sunday at the Tiko Town Green stadium.
A brace from captain Ngange Wilson Jnr and a first goal for the club for Talikong Elwood Bantar ensured the people’s Royal Elephants pick up maximum points to start off their second round of the season in style.
ISOHSA who were on standby on match day 10 welcomed TKC hoping to make it two wins in two, following their victory in the reversed fixture.
Plagued by injuries, sickness and suspensions coach Mbock Maput made significant changes in the starting XI, including handing a first start to Check Tiku and Abraham Ntankeu Ngah in the right-back and goalkeeping positions respectively while Simo Gedeon and Nsob Raphael Martial partnered in defense for the first time.
Akono Mendo forced a safe off the TKC goalkeeper midway into the first segment after collecting a short corner from Arrey Jefta.
Ngange Junior knocked the door for his first of the season but his header from a well worked corner was cleared off the line.
Nko Ghangle Rattensi forced a near post save from the near post after somehow manoeuvring his way into space after collecting an improbable pass from Akono Mendo.
Just when TKC thought they had held on for a goalless first segment, ISOHSA skipper scored the opener in additional time of the first segment, beating two defenders before the keeper.
The Royal Elephants resumed with more purpose in the second segment of the game despite the lead.
Ayong Mukete came close to double the advantage but he effort went wide.
Eight minutes into the second segment, Ngange scored the second to make it his first brace in Elite Two and open a 2-0 advantage for ISOHSA.
Akono Mendo and Nko Ghangle were replaced by Talikong Elwood Bantar and Agbor Tarkang just after the hour mark.
Bantar scored with his first involvement in the game to make it 3-0 and put ISOHSA in a comfortable situation for the remaining 19 minutes of the game.
Significantly, coach Mbock handed a debut to Abou Nyake and brought on Babo Brandon in replace of Richard Samekomba and Ayong Mukete later in the game.
The ISOHSA back four of Nsob Martial, Simo Gedeon, Alfred Mbita Nkoma and Check Tiku defended resolutely to reduce the chances of testing Abraham Dtankeu Ngah to the bearest minimum. Instead ISOHSA could have added the goals if Agbor Tarkang Clinton was more clinical or Arrey Jefta did better from the indirect free-kick situation.
The win and the goal sheet takes their points tally to 17 and they move to the top of the pool as the leaders going into the match day Eding Sport de la Lekie lost 0-1 away to Bafmeng United FC who moved up to the second spot, a point inferior to ISOHSA.
