Center region outfits TKC and Renaissance FC of Ngoumou played out a 2-2 draw in a pulsating MTN Elite Two championship resumption clash at the Olembe Annex stadium on Wednesday, October 25.
TKC lead twice but were pegged back by a resilient Renaissance FC side that deserved more from the game but was condemned to settle for a point.
The clash between relegated Renaissance FC and historic TKC in their second season in the second tier championship turned out to be a fitting contest to mark the resumption of the championship as Guy Marcel Zoua scored the first brace of the season.
Zoua put TKC ahead after eight minutes before Michel Stephane Ebode made sure the sides were on a parity score at the break.
The second segment was almost a mirror reflection of the first as Zoua restored TKC’s advantage after seven minutes into the second segment before Ali Nsangou leveled matters with four minutes from time to ensure both sides pick up at least a point from their first endeavor for the current season.
The other game in the group between Eding Sport de la Lekie and AS FAP ended prematurely duty heavy rainfall, but will be played this Thursday per the communications department of the Transitional Committee of professional football in Cameroon.
The rest of the match day one matches will be played on Saturday.
