28-year-old former Canon of Yaoundé goal poacher, Emmanuel Mahop Dikongue,is reported to be on trials in Saudi Arabia for the past days.

Speaking to kick442.com,an official of the most capped MTN Elite One club, had the following;
“Contrary to the information circulating on social media about the disappearance of our player, it’s merely untrue. Emmanuel Mahop is on a trial test in Saudi Arabia.”
“The forward left for a trial invitation in Saudi Arabia . His departure, was validated by the top management of Coton Sport. In case where everything goes on well, in Saudi Arabia between the club and Mahop. The club will officially make it public. And in case things turn out not favorable, he will return to Garoua,” he said.
The former goalkeeper, transformed into a prolific and astute forward finished top goal scorer, for the 2023-2024 Cameroon Professional League season, backing home the title of Golden Boot with 24 goals in 22 matches.
“Mahop left under the basis of his contract. Which stated that he was free to have an engage with another club, as soon as the opportunity comes up.”
After his flowering 2023 success, he moved to Saudi Arabia for trials, but return to Cameroon after it’s failure. And joined Coton Sport of Garoua.
Mahop was once called up by head coach Rigobert Song,during the Indomitable lions double confrontation against Namibia,counting for day 5th and 6th qualification fixtures for AFCON 2023.
