Cameroon winger Nicolas Brice Moumi Ngamaleu has become the subject of intense social media attention following the circulation of a video showing a confrontation at his residence in Moscow.
Initial reports claimed the Dynamo Moscow player was caught by his partner, Russian artist and influencer Nikki, with another woman, prompting police intervention. The video — filmed inside the player’s apartment — has been widely shared online, sparking speculation and criticism.
However, sources close to the player have since come forward to dispute those allegations, describing them as “inaccurate” and “one-sided”.
According to their account, the pair had already separated before the incident, and there was no case of infidelity. They claim the woman accessed the apartment using a copied key made without the player’s knowledge and arrived accompanied by security guards and another woman whose role was to record the confrontation.
Those sources further allege that Moumi was physically confronted while trying to prevent entry into his home, insisting that the circulating footage portrays only part of the event.
As things stand, Moumi himself has not made any public statement regarding the matter. Neither Dynamo Moscow nor the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has commented officially.
The 29-year-old remains with Cameroon’s national team in Rabat, Morocco, where Marc Brys’ side is preparing for the 2026 World Cup playoff against DR Congo on 13 November.
Team officials are understood to be focused on maintaining calm within the group, with those close to the player urging the public to avoid drawing conclusions until verified information emerges.
For now, the situation underscores the growing risks faced by players in an era where private disputes can quickly become global talking points online — often before facts are clearly established.
